“We expect health and social care providers to guarantee people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices and independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ is the guidance CQC follows to make assessments and judgements about services supporting people with a learning disability and autistic people and providers must have regard to it.”

“The provider had a positive and supportive culture where lessons were learnt when things went wrong. Staff worked together with external professionals to meet people’s needs. People’s care plans overall included clear information for staff to follow which were person centred and included their needs and preferences.”

“People were kept safe as staff followed processes the provider had put in place and required checks were completed. Staff knew how to raise concerns and action was taken as and when required.”

“We found some shortfalls in relation to staffing and the recording of monitoring in people’s care documents, these, however, were reviewed and updated by the provider when raised. We also found some discrepancies with the provider’s planned verses actual call times. Please see the safe, effective and well led sections of this full report.”
