“Date of assessment 21 May to 7 June 2024. This assessment was undertaken as the service is newly registered required rating. The service provided safe, kind and compassionate care. This was shaped around people’s needs and wishes. Staff knew people well and detailed care plans guided them how best to support people. Staff were well trained and told us they were supported in their roles. The service worked within the principles of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and people were supported to have choice and control. People were also supported to be independent where safe to do so. The registered manager had good oversight of the service and completed a number of quality assurance checks regularly. We recommended having more oversight of accidents and incidents to aid robust learning when things go wrong. There was an open and transparent culture at the service and staff spoke positively about working there.”
