“The provider had a good learning culture where people, relatives and staff felt confident in raising concerns. People were protected and kept safe from harm or abuse. Staff had been recruited safely and there were enough staff with the right skills, qualifications and experience to support people. Managers made sure staff received training and regular appraisals to carry out their role effectively. People received person centred care in accordance with their needs and wishes and they were involved in planning and reviewing the support they needed. Staff worked with other professionals to make sure people had the care and equipment to maintain their independence. People were cared for by staff who were kind and compassionate. People were always treated with dignity and respect. Staff managed medicines well and involved people in planning any changes. Staff worked with other agencies involved in people’s care for the best outcomes and smooth transitions when moving between services. Leaders and staff had a shared vision and culture based on listening, learning and trust. Staff understood their roles and responsibilities. There were audits and checks in place which were effective in identifying shortfalls and driving improvements.  ”
