We follow this guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted.”

“We found that people were supported to receive safe support from a consistent staff team who knew them well and understood risks and how to support people positively. Staff understood their safeguarding responsibilities and told us they were confident to raise concerns internally or externally if needed. Staff had a good understanding of how to support people with health risks including choking risks, constipation risks, and supporting people to transfer safely. People received their medicines safely.”
“ ”
“Staff understood consent and were passionate about ensuring people had choice and control of their lives. When people’s needs changed staff supported them to access health and care professionals to enable them to receive joined up care. Staff maintained a culture where people were prioritised, respected and supported to lead fulfilling lives.”
“ ”

“Leadership was strong, visible and compassionate. There was a robust governance system in place to review the quality of service and make improvements. The culture of the service was positive and promoted good outcomes for people. There were systems in place to ensure that learning was implemented and shared with staff through staff meetings and handovers. Staff knew people well and understood how to support them in the most positive way.”
“ ”
“The provider was previously in breach of the legal regulations in relation to good governance, safe care and treatment, and failing to notify the CQC of important events. Improvements were found at this assessment and the provider was no longer in breach of these regulations.”
