“People continued to be provided with safe and caring support from a consistent staff team which knew people well. Staff knew how to raise concerns and report incidents and accidents. When things went wrong action was taken to address concerns and reduce risks going forward. People’s medicines were safely managed. The service was clean and sufficiently maintained. Actions were taken to ensure the environment was safe for people to live in such as safe management of the utilities.”

“There was enough staff to support people. Staff were supported in their role and had the training they needed to support people. People’s needs were assessed prior to them moving into the service. People were supported by staff to transition into the care home. If people needed support from other services staff made referrals as appropriate. Staff understood the importance of offering people choices and input into their care.”

“Staff knew how to support people to manage their health and wellbeing. There were care plans in place. There were areas where care plans needed more information. However, this was addressed during the inspection.Staff were positive about their role and working at the service. They told us the registered manager fostered a positive culture, and they felt well supported. The service worked in partnership with other organisations to support people’s care. There were governance systems in place to ensure the quality of the service was maintained.”
