“At our last inspection, the location overall was rated requires improvement, at this inspection our judgement has changed to good. This meant people were safe and protected from avoidable harm.”

“At this inspection we found improvements to the safe management of the premises and to staff recruitment and the service is no longer in breach of these regulations.”

“People were well cared for by sufficient caring and competent staff, who understood and met people’s needs and preferences. People received their medicines safely. There had been improvements to the premises.”

“The provider has since last year’s inspection appointed a permanent manager who has registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The registered manager has worked closely with both their deputy manager, the staff team and the provider to continue the improvements seen at the last inspection. The provider has been able to demonstrate through their required monthly reports to CQC that a range of improvements have taken place and governance processes have been further strengthened and improved since the last inspection”

“However, whilst there had been improvements to governance processes further work was required in relation to some audits and records. The service therefore continues to be in breach of regulations in relation to good governance.”

“We have asked the provider for an action plan in response to the concerns found at this inspection.”
