“We expect health and social care providers to guarantee people with a learning disability the choices, dignity, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. Right Support, Right care, Right culture is the statutory guidance which supports CQC to make assessments and judgements about services providing support to people with a learning disability and/or autistic people.”

“The provider had made improvements to the service since our last inspection in August 2021, and it is no longer in breach of regulations. Medicines for people were now managed safely. People were supported to have choice and control and were involved in planning their care. Risks to people’s safety were assessed and plans were in place to help mitigate them. Care plans were personalised and addressed people’s needs and wishes. There were enough staff to ensure people’s safety and meet their needs.”

“People were supported to have choice and control and were involved in planning their care. People were protected from the risk of harm and abuse. Processes to record accidents and incidents were in place and lessons were learned from them. The provider had enough staff to ensure people’s safety and meet their needs. Staff protected people’s privacy and dignity. People were treated as individuals and their equality and diversity needs were supported and respected. People were supported to have a good quality of life. Staff communicated with people with respect, kindness and compassion.”
