“This service has been in Special Measures since 4 September 2025. The provider demonstrated improvements that have been made. The service is no longer rated as inadequate overall or in any of the key questions. Therefore, this service is no longer in Special Measures.”

“Since our last inspection the provider had made some improvements including hiring a new registered manager. At the time of our inspection the registered manager had only been registered with the CQC for just over 2 weeks, however had been overssing the service for 5 months prior. Some areas of risk management, including monitoring of constipation risks and ensuring robust guidance was in place to inform staff still needed improvement. People, staff and relatives fed back they did not always feel there was enough staff to provide people with meaningful engagement. Some areas of medicines management still needed improvement. One person told inspectors they were in pain and whilst this information was passed onto staff, appropriate action to support the person was not taken until it was reported to the registered manager. We found there were no longer malodours within the service which had been identified at the last inspection”

“We have asked the provider for an action plan in response to the concerns found at this inspection.”
