“People felt they received safe care and support, which was provided by staff who were skilled and met their needs. Staff were aware of safeguarding processes and felt that, where improvements to people’s health, safety and wellbeing were identified, these were actioned immediately. People and staff spoke about the positive impact the new manager was having on the home. People were provided with person centred care involving others that was based on their preferences. The provider helped ensure people had good continuity of care where they moved between services. People were supported to have good end of life care and their decisions were respected. The provider ensured a well maintained and safe environment.”
“However, we found a breach of the legal regulations in relations to governance and how the quality of the service was assessed to ensure that it identified all areas where improvements where required and actioned. Although most risks to people had been identified they were not always acted upon. We have asked the provider for an action plan in response to the concerns found at this assessment.”
“The majority of observations during the visit to the service were positive, we observed some interactions that did not uphold good standards of dignity and compassion. The provider and manager were responsive to feedback given and had started to take actions to address the concerns found.”
