“People were actively involved in assessments of their needs. They received person-centred care tailored to their individual needs, including those relating to protected equality characteristics. People’s care and support was regularly reviewed to ensure it was effective and promoting positive outcomes. People were supported to maintain their health and wellbeing and received their medicines as prescribed. The provider was taking action at the time of this assessment to improve information about people’s ‘as required’ medicines to ensure this was effective. Staff ensured people understood their care, enabling informed consent. People’s communication needs were well understood, allowing people to make decisions and retain choice and control over their care where possible.”

“People were treated equally and fairly and supported to access care when required. The service was led by an experienced manager, and staff were valued and supported with their learning, development, and wellbeing. Concerns raised by people or staff were listened to and acted upon. A culture of learning, inclusivity, and collaborative working supported continuous improvement at the service.”
