“People were protected and kept safe. Staff understood and managed known risks effectively. The facilities and equipment were maintained to a high standard and were safe. The environment was monitored, clean and modern throughout although improvements to its internal presentation were needed.”

“There were enough staff with the right skills, qualifications and experience to care for people. Managers made sure staff received training and regular supervisions to maintain high-quality care.”

“Staff managed medicines well. They made sure people understood their care and treatment to enable them to give informed consent. Staff involved relevant people to make decisions in people’s best interests where they did not have capacity. Staff responded to people’s needs in a timely way.”

“The provider supported staff well-being. Staff provided information people could understand. People and relatives knew how to raise concerns and were confident the provider would take these seriously and act upon them.”

“Improvements were needed with communication and engagement with relatives. Leaders at all levels were visible, knowledgeable and supportive, and were receptive to new ideas and support from other organisations. A culture of continuous improvement and sustainability was evident.”
