“Dates of assessment: 20 January 2026 until 30 January 2026. Forest Care Home is a residential care home that provides personal and nursing care for up to 35 people, at the time of our assessment there were 21 people living at the home. The home was divided into 2 units. People living at the home had complex care needs, including older people living with dementia and mental health conditions. The home was purpose built and shared the building with Forest Hospital.”
“This assessment was prompted due to the age of the rating. We last inspected in May 2018 when the home was rated good.”

“At this assessment we found that care was delivered safely by knowledgeable staff. People’s needs and risks were assessed, managed and met in a safe and effective way. People’s care was planned in a very personalised way and staff adapted their approach to meet people’s individual needs and preferences. Staff knew people well and were observed to be extremely kind and caring. The home was well maintained, welcoming and clean. The management team were supportive of their staff and ensured high quality care delivery.”
