“This assessment was undertaken by 4 inspectors and 1 specialist medicines inspector. Further support was provided by 1 Specialist Advisor who was a registered nurse, and 2 Experts by Experience. An Expert by Experience is a person who has personal experience of using or caring for someone who uses this type of care service.”

“People received safe care, staff identified and managed risks safely, responsibly and effectively. People, their relatives and staff told us they felt confident to raise concerns and these would be responded to by the management team. Effective processes were in place with external professionals to provide joined up care and treatment for people. People were effectively and safely supported to have safe transitions between services.”

“Staff and managers knew people well. Staff received employment checks, training and ongoing supervision for their roles. Staff treated people with kindness and compassion, and there was a positive and open culture at the care home. People were encouraged to remain as independent as possible, and were supported with rehabilitation needs by the providers own multidisciplinary staff team of health professionals. The registered manager and provider were open and transparent throughout the assessment process and showed dedication to improving their care and support services, where possible, by being regularly involved in new initiatives and working in line with best practice guidance.”

“At the time of writing this report, the provider had 2 registered managers registered with the Care Quality Commission. During our assessment timeframe, 1 registered manager left their post. Therefore, all comments within this report relate to the registered manager who remains in post.”
