“We inspected this service as a result of concerns received about practices in the home. We found no evidence of the alleged concerns during our inspection.”

“People were safe, cared for compassionately and competently and in line with best practice.”

“The premises and infection prevention and control practice needed to be improved. The premises were due, in the near future, to be refurbished and reconfigured to fit the providers ‘Household’ model of care.”

“We found there was not always a consistent approach to safeguarding or management of risks however when concerns were reported they were investigated thoroughly. Medicines had been safely managed.”

“Following a number of changes, there was a new management team consisting of a manager and clinical lead. Both were enthusiastic in their roles and keen to develop and improve the service.”

“Staff believed there was a positive culture within the service and that diversity was valued. When we assessed, 70 to 80% of staff were on sponsorship and from overseas. Staff had gone the extra mile to learn phrases in a person’s language to support their person-centred care.”

“Staff trained in a wide range of relevant areas and the provider learned from incidents that occurred in the service.”
