Darnall View Residential Home

“Date of assessment: 12 February 2026. Darnall View is a care home providing accommodation and care for up to 24 people, some of whom were living with dementia. At the time of our assessment there were 21 people living in the home. We carried out an assessment looking at all quality statements in all key questions. The last comprehensive assessment was carried out in November 2018 and was rated good. Our decision to inspect the service was due to the age of this rating. The provider maintained the rating of good.”

“Risks associated with people’s care and support were identified and managed to keep people safe. Staff had the skills and knowledge to carry out their role well. People were safeguarded from the risk of abuse. People received their medicines as prescribed, by staff who were competent in medicine administration. We carried out a tour of the home and found it to be clean and well maintained. The provider learnt lessons when things went wrong and made changes to practice to improve the service.”
