“Date of Assessment: 13 Jan to 20 Jan 2025. The service is a care home providing personal care to people with a learning disability and/or autistic people. At the time of our assessment there were 6 people using the service. We have assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. The service had made improvements and no longer in breach of regulations. Management of the service was now consistent and stable. Governance systems were more effective. Records management had improved. Risk posed by the environment had been mitigated. The environment had been refurbished and redecorated. The home was a safer, more comfortable place for people to live. People were protected from risk of abuse. Risks to people were managed well. There were enough staff to support people and meet their needs. Recruitment practice was safe. Infection risks were managed well. Staff worked with partners to help people achieve positive outcomes. People were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives. Staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible and in their best interests. People received care centred on them and their individual needs including those related to their protected equality characteristics. People were supported to stay healthy and well and received their medicines when needed. People’s care was regularly reviewed to ensure this remained effective. Staff understood people’s rights and how these should be met. Staff were valued and supported with their learning and development. Staff were encouraged to raise concerns and these were listened to. There was a culture of improvement and inclusivity which had led to people experiencing positive outcomes and enhanced their quality of life.”
