“Improvements to the service’s governance and auditing systems enabled the registered manager to have clear oversight of risk and learn from adverse events. All staff spoke of the management team’s commitment to make continuous improvements. A staff member told us, “I have seen the home come on leaps and bounds in my last few years and look forward to seeing it progress on further.” Another staff member stated, “Everything has improved since you were last here. All aspects of care have gone up, we are a strong team, we know residents and treat them like they are our family.””

“We observed care was delivered in ways that were person-centred and promoted people’s dignity, privacy and human rights. Care staff treated people with kindness and respect. Staff told us they were valued and supported in their roles, informing us the positive impact this had in enabling them to provide care for people using the service.”
