“Staff knew how to recognise and report concerns, however, there needed to be more clear, robust processes in place to ensure safeguarding concerns were referred to external agencies where needed. Medicine management had improved, however there were still some errors occurring and these had not been identified in audits.”

The management team were working with the staff team to create an on-going culture of openness and positivity. However, there were still on-going improvements which needed to be made to support the governance, quality and safety of the service.”

Staff understood the importance of consent and empowered people to be involved in their own care and to make their own decisions based on their individual preferences and wishes. People’s care plans were person centred.”
