“Date of inspection: 16 February 2026. The service is a care home without nursing supporting autistic people and people with a learning disability. We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted.”

“People received safe, effective and person-centred care from a staff team who knew them well. The service had a positive and open culture where learning and improvement were encouraged. Staff understood people’s needs and protected their rights. People told us they felt safe, respected and supported to live their lives in the way they chose.”

“ ”

“The environment was clean and personalised and risks were well managed. Staff worked well with health professionals to ensure care was consistent and joined up. People were supported to stay healthy, attend appointments and understand their choices. Medicines were managed safely, although some areas of best practice needed strengthening.”

“ ”

“Care was kind, compassionate and promoted dignity. People were treated as individuals and encouraged to be independent, maintain friendships and take part in a wide range of activities at home and in the community. Staff responded quickly to changes in need or emergencies.”

“ ”

“Leaders were visible, supportive and promoted an inclusive culture. Governance systems gave a clear oversight of quality and safety. Staff felt able to speak up and raise concerns. The provider worked positively with external professionals. Some improvements were needed around recording outcomes, mental capacity assessments and staff knowledge of key best practice guidance, but plans were already in place to address this.”

“ ”

“Overall, people experienced good quality care that met their needs, promoted their wellbeing and supported their independence.”
