At 836 Walsall Road we support four people with learning disabilities and complex needs. We can also support individuals with sensory impairment. The service is in an urban area within walking distance of local shops and with good transport links to the town centre.

We aim to promote and encourage each person’s independence while meeting their individual needs. Staff have all received specialist training tailored to meet the needs of the people we support.

We believe each person should be enabled to exercise as much choice as possible on matters that affect their daily lives. People are encouraged to decorate their bedrooms to suit their own tastes. Everyone is encouraged to take part in service meetings and menu planning.

We recognise each person’s individual ethnic, religious and social needs and ensure we provide support which is appropriate to these. We have a good relationship with people in the wider community and have worked with a local church on fundraising for several charities. Two poeple attend college for learning for living and work courses.

The service is a purpose built bungalow which is fully accessible to wheelchair users and is equipped with specialist equipment, such as an assisted bathroom and height adjustable surfaces.
