Lammas Lodge supports people who have been diagnosed with Autism. We aim to enable everyone to make their own choices about the support they receive. We do everything we can to improve the health and wellbeing of the individuals we support and as a team we are focused on building positive outcomes for everyone.

Overview of Service

Lammas Lodge is a specialist service that supports people who have been diagnosed with Autism. Individuals have varying levels of Autism and are all supported by experienced staff, who enable their physical, intellectual, emotional and social needs to be met.

The support at Lammas Lodge is delivered by a dedicated and professional Multi Disciplinary Team of staff, who are committed to providing quality support. Each person has a Person Centred Plan, which they help design and each plan is specifically designed to reflect his or her personal needs and choices. Each person is assigned a key worker who ensures a holistic approach to their support.

What It's Like to Live Here

Everyone we support are encouraged through their Person Centred Plans to achieve their goals and aspirations. For some people this means attending college to access various courses, including cooking, art and daily living skills. For others it means work placements and other day opportunities in line with their goals.

Within the house we continually and consistently promote the development of social skills, independent living and personal responsibility. This includes daily skills such as shopping, cooking, doing laundry and cleaning and tasks are dependent upon an individual's ability. The people who live here are very proud of their home as they have so much involvement in creating it.

Lammas Lodge promotes Craegmoor's communication strategy, "Your Voice", which encourages individuals, based on their preferred method of communication, to voice their views about the support they receive. Monthly meetings are held where individuals are able to represent the views and voices of others living at the service. This is extended to area, divisional and national level.

Surroundings

Lammas Lodge is located in Lugwardine, Hereford, and has breathtaking views of the local countryside and some of the Welsh mountains on clear days. The service is within easy access of local shops and amenities.

Service Facilities

The house itself is a large, spacious building, with its own grounds and has extensive lawn gardens to the front and rear.

There is a large activity/leisure area, which includes its own snoezelen, multi-gym and has access to the sensory garden.

There is a self-contained flat, in which 1 person can live more independently, with support where necessary.
