Overview of service

The service offers homely accommodation for 4 adults with learning disabilities and mental disorders.

We offer a warm and homely environment with opportunities for individuals to extend and enhance the quality of their day to day living. People have varying levels of learning difficulties and are all supported by experienced staff, ensuring their physical, intellectual, emotional and social needs are met.

Everyone has an individual care package, specifically planned to reflect their personal needs and choices. Choice is paramount and individuals are actively encouraged to make informed choices and maintain independence.

What it's like to live here

Our Activities Co-ordinator organises a wide range of daily activities both in and out of the service, which are planned in conjunction with those who use our service. They enjoy activities such as swimming, skittles, day care centre, outings to pubs and shopping. College courses are available and include music, art, communication, speech, cooking, relaxation, and arts and crafts, dancing or gardening.

We also arrange holidays in the UK or abroad to nice and sunny destinations.

Surroundings

We are situated in picturesque part of the Forest of Dean Parkend, Gloucestershire with easy access to local shops and amenities.

Service facilities

The service has been tastefully decorated throughout with individual décor to each bedroom to meet the requirements and needs of each individual. The service boasts a lounge, dining room, kitchen and a tranquil large secluded garden offering a relaxing atmosphere and a quiet retreat. Individuals are encouraged to personalise their own space.

Our own transport is used for visits to local places of interest and to go out to local day services and resource centres.
