At Glebe House we support people with mental illnesses. Our aim is to support everyone to build on their existing skills and learn new skills to move onto more independent living. Glebe House welcomes new people to our home, whether long term or for a short stay and each individual will be given a personalised outcome-focused plan to both build on existing skills and allow our service users to acquire new ones. We recognise that for many people, social skills may present difficulties and we therefore provide an appropriate level of support to individuals, for example menu planning, money management and shopping.
What it's like to live here
There are a wide range of activities for people to get involved with, both in and out of the service, ranging from arts and crafts to trips to the cinema and going bowling. We have our own activities co-ordinator who works with everyone at Glebe House to create the best possible activities plan. Glebe House also has access to a wide range of voluntary work placements and training programmes for people including Food Hygiene and Fire Safety.
Surroundings
Glebe House is situated in the town of Caistor, in the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds, approximately 12 miles from Grimsby.
Service facilities
Originally built as a vicarage, Glebe House dates back to the 18th century. In recent years, it has been extensively refurbished and extended to provide enviable accommodation with the benefits of a secluded garden and patio area. Support is provided for adults with learning disabilities requiring living skills rehabilitation. The single rooms and flats are tastefully decorated and most offer en-suite facilities.
