Overview of service
Ocean House is a dedicated respite care home located in Poole. Ocean house is a specialised service that supports people with physical disabilities and complex needs for both short and long term respite care. A stay at Ocean House may be arranged for a single night, or for a longer short-term break, such as one or two weeks.
What it's like at Ocean House
The people we support at Ocean House like to help with meal planning, cooking, cleaning, activity planning, socialising and gardening on a regular basis. Some of the people we support go on work placements and particularly enjoy this independence.
Surroundings
Situated just a short distance from the park at Ashley Cross in Poole, it is well suited for people of all ages. The service is in easy reach of local shops, banks and the local village post office. The lounge and dining room overlook a secluded garden with access via a ramp to support disabled service users. All rooms have en-suite facilities and there is also a large, fully equipped wet room suitable for wheelchair access. At the rear of the property is a safe, south-westerly, level garden which can be enjoyed all year round, subject to the weather of course.
Service facilities
At Ocean House we encourage the people we support to personalise their rooms to their own taste as well as to take an active role in the running of the home.
