Roseneath Avenue provides quality support based on respect for the individuals who use our service, their right to make choices, maintain dignity and receive the best care to suit individual needs.
Overview of service
The service offers six self contained apartments providing accommodation for six adults with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour.
What it's like to live here
Each of our individuals has a dedicated key worker who organises a wide range of daily activities both in and out of the home which are planned in conjunction with the wishes of our residents. The current individuals enjoy swimming, horse riding, bowling, trips to cinema, outings to pubs, shopping. College courses are available and include music, art, communication, speech, cooking, relaxation, arts and crafts, dancing or gardening. Our own transport is used for visits to local places of interest and to go out to local day services and resource centres. All are encouraged to pursue and retain their own interests. Individuals families are invited to come to the house and their support is valued by all at Roseneath Avenue.
Surroundings
The home is situated in a tranquil area of Winchmore Hill with easy access to the cosmopolitan local shops and amenities.
Service facilities
Roseneath Avenue care home offers a warm and homely environment with opportunities for residents to extend and enhance the quality of their day-to-day living. We offer accommodation to 6 residents with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour. Each of the apartments has its' own fitted kitchen, lounge/dining room, bathrooms and WC's. There is a secluded garden at the rear of the property, which offers a relaxing atmosphere and a quiet retreat. One of the new initiatives of the home is the implementation of a vegetable patch. The residents are encouraged to join the staff in this initiative and will eventually see the results of their work on the dining table. The residents of Roseneath Avenue are encouraged to personalise their own space and the décor is chosen by them.
