Primrose Lodge is a purpose built service where we provide support to four individuals with a learning disability, physical disabilities and complex needs.
The service offers high levels of specialist support, with the communal and personal areas designed not only to create a warm and friendly, homely environment, but also to support people with physical disabilities, using sensory stimulation.
The large supporting team all receive specialist training tailored to the needs of the people who live at the service, while focusing on keeping them safe, free from harm and addressing the issues surrounding their complex physical needs. We aim to ensure that each individual living in the service has every opportunity to develop as a person, build on their skills and maximise their potential as an individual. At Primrose Lodge we look beyond a physical disability and see the person and their potential.
The service is situated in the pretty, county town of Trowbridge, close to the town centre, with easy access to shops and restaurants. Also within easy reach are local amenities such as a swimming pool, a large supportive local college and many other facilities, all of which people are encouraged to make use of.
The service features generous personal spaces; each of the four bedrooms has en-suite facilities. The spacious communal areas include a large lounge, a dining room and a well appointed kitchen.
Primrose Lodge has been purposely designed for the people who live there. With this intention, the service features many exciting, additional features, such as a sensory room, an activity room and a treatment room, all designed to empower and encourage emotional development, whilst always maintaining the focus on supporting physical disabilities appropriately. These features ensure that Primrose Lodge is on the cutting edge of specialist support. The service aims to encourage personal exploration and development while remaining, at its heart, a home.
