The Lawrence offers support for adults with a range of learning disabilities. We aim to provide a safe and homely environment, where all individuals can make their own choices about the support they receive. We focus on providing support that maximises each individual's potential, with regards to physical, intellectual, emotional and social capacity..
Overview of Service
The Lawrence offers support for adults with a range of learning disabilities. We aim to provide a safe and homely environment, where all individuals can make their own choices about the support they receive.
Each individual designs their own Person Centred Plan, which are tailored to suit individual needs and provide the correct level of support required. We encourage and support everyone at The Lawrence to identify their goals and ambitions and how they would like to go about meeting them.
The Lawrence promotes Craegmoor's communication strategy, "Your Voice", which encourages individuals, based on their preferred method of communication, to voice their views about the support they receive. Monthly meetings are held where individuals are able to represent the views and voices of others living at the service.
What it's Like to Live Here
There are a wide range of activities to get involved with at The Lawrence. We offer daily activity programmes, which are planned with the help of each individual. These include arts and crafts, bingo, shopping trips, going to the cinema, socialising at the local pub and going on trips to the seaside.
Many individuals attend various courses and colleges and enjoy joining in with community events. Individuals are always encouraged and supported to pursue and fulfil their own interests.
