Carlton House provides specialist support for 12 men with learning disabilities, challenging behaviour and associated complex needs.
Staff provide 24-hour support for the people who live here, based on their detailed person centred plans and in-depth assessments.
Our aim is to support everyone that lives here to be as independent as possible, to reach their full potential and to take responsibility for their lives and for their behaviour.

Highly-skilled in-house staff team of 30 NVQ-qualified support workers
Ongoing staff development programme including specialist training in positive behaviour management
Supported by external MDT teams of health professionals and specialist care managers
Our service
Carlton House – main house with eight en-suite bedrooms and spacious communal areas
Carlton Cottage – a purpose-built detached step-down unit close to Carlton House, with four en-suite bedrooms and spacious communal rooms
Activities
Everyone is encouraged to take part in various activities such as cooking, gardening and baking
People get involved in weekly shopping trips, developing the menus and preparing meals
People are also supported to engage in community activities such as trips to the cinema, shopping and going on holidays
Monthly ‘Your Voice’ meetings enable individuals to get involved in running their home and give their views on living there

Recently refurbished, low-arousal accommodation with spacious communal areas, a skills kitchen, two quiet lounges, a larger communal lounge and a fully equipped Snoozelum room
