Mill River Lodge care home is situated in the picturesque West Sussex town of Horsham and is close to the town centre with all its shops and amenities. The superb purpose built care home opened in 2007 and provides 70 spacious en-suite bedrooms divided equally into 7 separate self contained wings each with their own lounge and dining areas and team of dedicated professional care staff. Our care packages are put together with you and your family so that your choices and preferences always come first. We offer a varied and interesting social activity schedule designed around our residents’ own hobbies and interests and aimed at maintaining strong community links. Mill River Lodge provides residential care for older people with physical frailty and for older people who are suffering from dementia. Our fully qualified and dedicated care team provide the very highest standard of care to our residents 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Moving into residential or nursing care can be a difficult decision but is often necessary for older people who can no longer manage on their own or with the help of relatives, friends or other carers. But in Shaw care homes our friendly professional staff are trained to make the transition hassle free and ensure that independence and the key components of daily living are maintained as much as possible. We aim to provide you with choices - over your personal care, what and when you eat, whether you want some peace and quiet or to join in a range of social activities. All this is provided in homely and comfortable surroundings - and with your own private bedroom. There are two types of care home, those which provide personal care only and those which also provide nursing care. All homes provide meals, laundry service and personal care such as help with washing, dressing, general mobility and day-to-day tasks. Nursing homes provide all of these services but additionally they employ registered, trained nurses who are able to provide health-related care. Government assistance with the cost of this nursing care is available to everyone and is not means-tested.
