Acorn Lodge residential care home is situated in the heart of Nuneaton and is eveything that that a modern care home should be. Opening in February 2011 Acorn Lodge will be offering the highest levels of elderly residential and dementia care with hotel quality levels of support, and facilities that will make it one of the most advanced care homes across the district. Managed by Avery Healthcare, one of the UK’s most respected elder care companies, the home is currrently accepting enquiries from prospective residents. Our residential care home will offer 59 generously sized bedrooms, all equipped with flat screen TV''s, as well as en-suite, walk-in showers and WC''s. Communal rooms downstairs will open out onto an enclosed courtyard and patio garden with light and airy spaces, rooms that are full of life and activity. Alternatively, our quiet rooms, aromatherapy suite and hair salon will offer a haven of relaxation, while a varied programme of activities organised daily by a dedicated activities co-ordinator will afford the opportunity for learning, sharing and gentle exercise.
Acorn Lodge will offer Connect, our respected and complementary dementia support programme for family and friends, and will put an emphasis on the delivery of person centred care, independence and communal living. Our vision of care in the 21st century is of a thriving community, a place where each resident can find their own contribution to life in the home. Wireless broadband will be available throughout Acorn Lodge and illustrates perfectly our commitment to tackling isolation, by encouraging our residents to communicate with loved ones on-line. Dining at Acorn Lodge is of restaurant standard and undertaken communally in our dining room by all the residents. Avery care homes work hard towards being part of the wider community, it''s how we see our homes and we go to great lengths to encourage the contributions of organisations, clubs and schools within our home.
