Church View supports 23 adults from 18-65 with enduring mental health problems. At Church View there are three units - York and Canterbury which support 8 people and the Vicarage which used to be the Vicarage of the local church which supports seven people. Individuals can personalise their bedrooms. We use Person Centred Care Plans when developing plans with individuals in how they wish to be supported and progress in life.

What it's like to live here

Many people have their own network of friends outside of Church View and go out to see them as they wish.

The people living at Church View enjoy lots of different activities including bike riding, visiting farms, and museums, local outings to the cinema, swimming, bowling, eating out, fishing trips and shopping.

An external arts and crafts group visits each week and there are lots of other activities at Church View including baking, bingo, quizzes, darts, dominoes, board games and there is a large grounds which some individuals help to maintain.

We have large grounds which some individuals help to maintain and are lovely to sit in and relax when the weather is good.

Surroundings

Church View is ideally situated as it is close to Rotherham town centre and has regular buses running nearby and is also close to the Meadowhall shopping centre.

There are many local facilities around - bowling alley, many places to eat, pictures at Meadowhall shopping centre. Many local country parks.

Service facilities

There are large landscaped areas with benches to sit and relax and a patio area with a relaxing water feature. We have BBQ's in the summer as well as open days and summer fayres.

There is a cook on duty five days a week to cook the evening meal and at lunchtime and breakfast time, individuals are encouraged to make their own.
