Rose Cottage supports 7 people who have learning disabilities, Epilepsy, challenging behaviour and communication difficulties. We do everything we can to improve the health and wellbeing of the individuals we support and as a team we are focused on building positive outcomes for everyone.
Overview of Service
Rose Cottage supports 7 people who have learning disabilities, Epilepsy, challenging behaviour and communication difficulties. The service is a homely, chalet bungalow, which is set in its own grounds. Our dedicated staff team provide 24 hour support and the level of support offered is completely dependent on individuals' needs. All staff are highly trained in communication.
All individuals are involved in designing their own Person Centred Plan, with staff support. The plans are tailored to suit individual needs and provide the correct level of support required. They also enable all individuals to make their own choices about the support they receive. We encourage and support those at Rose Cottage to recognise and identify their goals and ambitions and decide how they would like to go about achieving them.
What it's Like to Live Here
Everyone living at Rose Cottage is encouraged and supported to participate in all decisions of how their home is run. This includes choosing and planning the activities people can get involved with at the service, both in-house and within the community. These activities include going line dancing; horse riding, bowling, going to the cinema and socialising in pubs.
Individuals are encouraged and supported to attend college and work placements.
People also get involved with activities around the bungalow, including baking, gardening, using computers and helping with housework.
