Care is at the heart of everything we do. Over recent years, we have taken the time to create a care village like no other. We believe that by listening to our residents and their families, we have created the ideal retirement location. For individuals and couples alike, our attention to detail has created a high quality retirement and care village, with the widest range of facilities and activities. Our recent extension now provides new, spacious bedrooms, four of which are apartment style in design, a bistro to entertain visitors and a new orangery, which allows residents to relax, socialise and enjoy the wonderful views of our landscaped gardens. All of our workmanship has been carried out to the highest standards, using the latest technology, which brings additional benefits, whilst reducing our CO2 emissions. Our new buildings are fully furnished to the highest quality and our spacious bedrooms feature under floor heating, en-suite bathrooms with showers or Jacuzzi baths and brand new large flat screen TVs. A happy and fulfilling life is the result of many different things. Having your personal wishes understood and your needs catered for being the most important. The Old Deanery Care Village allows residents to maintain their independence whilst enjoying a wide range of facilities in a well managed, well maintained, modern, caring environment.
Guiding us every day is each resident’s care plan. This contains a full assessment of individual physical and emotional needs, a statement of any special risks faced and a record of personal progress. In addition to 24-hour care, we can arrange additional services such as physiotherapy, chiropody, osteopathy, dental, optical care, aromatherapy, reflexology and speech therapy. We also provide full support from the local and district medical services. Residents may transfer unconditionally to the local GP practice. They provide a full medical examination and medication review without charge. Our care team is under the direct control of our Operations Director and Home Manager, Clive Ansell-Jones, who has more than 23 years experience in health care and care management. His commitment and the hard work of his extensive care team, provides residents with friendly companionship and personal involvement that ensures their well-being is always the top priority. We realise the value and importance of retaining contact with the community. Participation in social activities and entertainment provides valuable stimulation, motivation, and adds to the quality of life for us all. Consequently, our Social Activities Co-ordinators work hard to plan a full schedule of activities so that every day provides new opportunities for meeting people. Trips to the surrounding countryside, local theatre and events are arranged. Digital TV is available in our new wing and we regularly organise activities such as bingo, quizzes and crafts. Residents particularly enjoy the various musicians and entertainers who visit. The mobile library also visits us regularly and daily newspapers are supplied upon request. Video films are shown frequently in the library including old favourites and new releases, and family and friends are always welcome to come and join us.
