At Summerfield Court we provide support to enable 14 individuals to build their cognitive and daily living skills following an acquired brain injury.

Staffing levels are high, allowing everyone to become involved in the daily running of the service and to access local facilities. An important part of the support we offer is to assist people to make the most of the resources available to them in the community. Summerfield Court is only a few minutes drive from Leeds city centre, offering educational and leisure opportunities.

Most people come to us following a period of intensive rehabilitation. Staff spend time with each person at their existing placements to ensure a smooth transition to our service.
As well as our team of highly trained staff, we employ therapy staff to design, implement and review therapy programmes. These specialists support the staff team to use the strategies they have put in place.

Accommodation is very spacious and is provided in flats and apartments. The ten flats are all en-suite and half have height adjustable kitchen equipment to enable people to develop practical skills. There are also four transitional living apartments which offer the experience of being responsible for their own home, before moving out into accommodation in the community.

There are a range of shared areas to give everyone the opportunity to spend time alone, socialise with others or participate in therapy sessions. The sensory room is ideal for relaxation.

The service also has a large enclosed garden with an attractive patio area and water feature. People are invited to help maintain the garden to help build daily living skills.
