The Willows provides 24 hour support for 6 people with learning disabilities, Autism, Epilepsy and Prader-Willi Syndrome. We aim to provide a safe and homely environment, where everyone can make their own choices about the support they receive. We do everything we can to improve the health and wellbeing of the individuals we support and as a team we are focused on building positive outcomes for everyone.

What It's Like to Live Here

There are a wide range of activities to get involved with at The Willows, both in and out and of the service. With staff support, everyone living here chooses and plans which activities they would like to do. Some of the activities include gardening; cookery, horse riding, playing bingo, taking part in karaoke, going shopping, bowling, swimming, going on walks in the local area and going to the cinema.

Individuals are encouraged to pursue their own educational and career goals. Some people attend college and attend work placements.

Everyone chooses and plans which holidays and daytrips they would like to go on.

Staff support and encourage everyone to be as involved in the day to day running of their home as they wish to or feel able to. Individuals help to prepare meals, do their own laundry and get involved with gardening and housework.

Surroundings

The Willows is situated in the historic seaside town of Hythe. The service is in a fantastic location, as it is within walking distance of the beach, the high street, a local park, a swimming pool and the canal. The service also has easy access to the local towns of Folkestone and Ashford and the M20 motorway.

The Willows has a welcoming and homely environment. Everyone is encouraged and supported to personalise their bedrooms.
