At 2a & 2b Mayfair we provide care and support to ten individuals with a severe learning disability, physical disability and complex care needs.

We are a very active service and encourage everyone to take part in a wide range of activities tailored to their particular interests, both within the service and in the wider community. The home is in a village close to Reading, where there are lots of amenities.

As well as taking part in everyday activities we aim to give everyone we support the opportunity to have once in a lifetime experiences. We recently organised a night out in a lovely hotel in Reading and all enjoyed getting dressed up for the occasion and we are supporting two gentlemen to plan a holiday to Disney World in Florida.

The high level of staffing at 2a & 2b Mayfair allows everyone to become actively involved in the daily running of the service. People are encouraged to participate in meal preparations, supported by staff.

The home has spacious shared areas, offering the choice of socialising, taking part in the varied programme of activities, or spending time alone. These include a lounge, a dining room and a conservatory which looks onto the mature garden.

The garden has a seating area and provides the opportunity for outdoor games and activities. Individuals can choose to help maintain the garden to develop daily living skills.

There are ten bedrooms, which are carefully adapted to meet each person's specific needs.

We can also provide respite care at short notice.
