Smallwood is a renovated farmhouse, set in the beautiful rolling Dorset countryside, just a mile from the thriving market town of Blandford Forum. The two buildings have been designed to create a spacious and flexible living space for the eight young adults we support.

Each of the individual bedrooms has full en-suite bathroom facilities; five of the bedrooms are in the main house and three are in the cottage.

There are two light and airy lounges and kitchens which provide a modern and comfortable environment where everyone can develop their independence skills. All of the rooms have been decorated in colour schemes tailored to suit adults on the autistic spectrum and the sensory and communication needs of complex individuals have been incorporated into the design of the service and the training of the staff team.

We have an excellent activity and sensory room on site which is used as part of each individual’s care package. The large, level gardens provide lots of outside space for sports, activities and relaxation. The property is surrounded by panoramic countryside with miles of country walks, as the site is located on a public bridleway.

Individuals can choose to access a range of local resources, community activities and work placements, and the key objective of the service is to empower and promote each person's independence at all times.
